9 Years Old!!

Evan lost his first tooth today!  

We were walking to the car after the Marathon and he bit into a gummy bear and made it REALLY loose.  He then jumped over a stick on the path and the tooth popped right out of his mouth!  We spent the next 10 minutes looking for the tooth along the path (we found it)!!!

It's the most wonderful time of the year...

Back to School!!

And FIRST Day of School for Evan :)

I can't wait to hear all about their day! 

Big Sky State Games

 The boys participated in BSSG again this year.  Andrew's team played some really tough teams this year and didn't place. Bummer! Owen's team took home the silver medal for their age group!

(Owen's team actually played up in the U9/10 league so they did pretty awesome to get second place against a bunch of boys 2 years older than them!!)

 

A first....

Our first broken bone.

Evan fractured his clavicle at the soccer fields this week.  He was rolling down the hills with a couple of friends when one of them decided to "sit" on him as he was rolling.  Crack!

(I always thought it would be Owen with the first broken bone in this household!!)

Luckily it was a pretty minor fracture so he has been doing great.  However, he is still being spoiled rotten by Nana and Papa and Uncle Korey and Aunt Anne!!!

 (Now Owen wants to break his leg so he can get some sympathy presents too!)

iPad Time

My iPad junkie.  He (all 3 of them, really) would play on the iPad ALL day if I would let them!

Taken last night with the light of the iPad only...might be a bit on the grainy side!

Fishing

Owen went fishing with his best buddy about a week ago.  They went to Petrolia Lake near Winnett and caught LOTS of fish.  Here is Owen with his first walleye!

We ate him on Saturday!

Last Day of School - 2013

It's hard to believe summer vacation is here!  

First of all, the year went by way too fast.  And second, as you can see by the pictures, it doesn't FEEL anything like summer!  

 The first-thru-fourth graders made a long line for all the "graduating" 5th graders to walk through and get high fives!  Because our school is so overcrowded the 6th graders will go to MIDDLE SCHOOL next year!  EEK!!

Soccer!

Our last 6 weeks have been consumed by soccer!  One more week to go with Magic City league and then on to summer league.  So this is your warning that you will probably be bombarded with MORE soccer pictures all summer :)

Here is a sampling from the boys' spring season.  As you can see, both my boys love the position of Goalkeeper!

Eleven Years Old!

This was Andrew's favorite part of our vacation!  I wish I had taken more pictures of all the planes on the upper deck....I guess we will just have to go back!

The first picture is just before the hatch closed on Andrew and Owen in the flight simulator.  Andrew did a pretty good job flying.  His simulator was the only one not going upside down! 

Anyone interested in helping pay for flying lessons??!

 These two carriers were just across the bay from the USS Midway.  One of them had the duty of taking Osama's remains out to sea.

Wow!  Has it really been 2 months since I last posted?  
We just returned from a California vacation so I have lots of pictures to post.  Our first stop was the San Diego Zoo.  I think I could spend several days here just watching and photographing the animals.  So fun!  Here are just a few of the animals, starting with the wildest three!
