Fishing

Owen went fishing with his best buddy about a week ago.  They went to Petrolia Lake near Winnett and caught LOTS of fish.  Here is Owen with his first walleye!

We ate him on Saturday!

Last Day of School - 2013

It's hard to believe summer vacation is here!  

First of all, the year went by way too fast.  And second, as you can see by the pictures, it doesn't FEEL anything like summer!  

 The first-thru-fourth graders made a long line for all the "graduating" 5th graders to walk through and get high fives!  Because our school is so overcrowded the 6th graders will go to MIDDLE SCHOOL next year!  EEK!!

Soccer!

Our last 6 weeks have been consumed by soccer!  One more week to go with Magic City league and then on to summer league.  So this is your warning that you will probably be bombarded with MORE soccer pictures all summer :)

Here is a sampling from the boys' spring season.  As you can see, both my boys love the position of Goalkeeper!

This was Andrew's favorite part of our vacation!  I wish I had taken more pictures of all the planes on the upper deck....I guess we will just have to go back!

The first picture is just before the hatch closed on Andrew and Owen in the flight simulator.  Andrew did a pretty good job flying.  His simulator was the only one not going upside down! 

Anyone interested in helping pay for flying lessons??!

 These two carriers were just across the bay from the USS Midway.  One of them had the duty of taking Osama's remains out to sea.

San Diego

Wow!  Has it really been 2 months since I last posted?  
We just returned from a California vacation so I have lots of pictures to post.  Our first stop was the San Diego Zoo.  I think I could spend several days here just watching and photographing the animals.  So fun!  Here are just a few of the animals, starting with the wildest three!
